[regarding camp]

First, I am disappointed to see there be only two posts since mine before camp. I want to know what is going on.

Camp was SOOO good! Wow. The first night about 10-20 kids got saved. The second night about 50-75 kids were prayed over and freed from the "spirit of rejection" (including me). If you want me to explain anything, just IM me. or call, etc. The third night about 30-40 kids were prayed over, baptized in the Holy Spirit, filled, and spoke in tounges for the first time! It was soo awesome. Seriously, I feel so amazingly close to God right now. The band was crazy-good. It was Decatur's worship band. The only negative thing was that it was only from Wed. - Sat.

It was so good to see my friends again. I missed some of you! AUSTIN, I LOVE YOU. It was great to see you. I miss you all, and seriously, it was SO good to see you. I cant express it. You all are amazing - those at camp and not. Well, see ya later!

Madeline and cam

We named our puppy finally! Her name is Madeline, but we call her Maddie. She is a good puppy, but a little nippy, because she is still a puppy and thats the way she plays, but that has to change. We can't have her biting little kids or anything!

My dad's surgery date is August 15. We were praying he didn't need surgery, because he already had it, and surgery is VERY expensive. God will help us through, though. Please be praying for my dad.

Seth's school is full of bad females.

Anyways, we are going to camp in about half an hour. I will see Austin there! The first of the Famous 5. I can't wait! I am pretty sure that we all need to go to ONE camp. Seth and I were talking a while ago about all going to a camp somewhere. Then we could switch places and make our parents come together to switch us back. Sound familiar? Yeah, kind of like Parent Trap. But it would be pro if we went to camp together, wouldn't it? Anyways, that probably could have gone on the rarely-updated famous 5 blog. But - its on here.

Joel - We need to skype or just talk. Maybe my mic will work!

Well, I miss and love you all, and will hopefully talk to you soon!

Weird!

Hey Jordan-
I just babysat for a family I know named the Logans. I was talking to the Mom, who was telling me they're leaving for a vacation in Wisconsin soon. Automatically thinking of you, I asked where they were going...They're staying in Rhinelander! I was like Wow! What are the chance? Anyway, thought you'd like that!
Oh, and Seth...hang in there and don't give up on your school yet. there are bound to be awesome people hidden in the shadows, you might just have to search for them. And DON'T give in to girls like that, whatever you do...keep remembering what you're called to-a life of purity and faithfulness. It's not worth spending yourself right now on girls who are only after cheap affection...press on toward the goal, and eventually you will win the prize.
I think about you guys often, and I think I'll always view myself as a DCS Freshman at heart...

Just the updates from Wisconsin

I saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory yesterday. This one followed the book a ton more than the last one. Almost everything ws just like in the book! I own the book, so if you wanna borrow it - call me. lol I promise - there is nothing to do here except watch movies. But - anyways - it wasn't as good as the original, though. Johnny Depp was pretty much the only famous one in it. Wonka was like demented in it, like I know that Wonka is crazy, but in this one, it was like he was possessed - not quite. W-E-I-R-D. But there were some funny parts. Overall, it was worth it. If I don't make sense, just forget everything I said.

I got home late, and when I went into my room, the kennel just happened to be in there - uggh. not that its bad that she is in there, but she was sleeping, and I tiptoed in, pulled the covers from my bed, crawled in s-l-o-w-l-y, laid down s-l-o-w-l-y, and then, I hear her wake up. I was praying [seriously] that she wouldn't wake up, but she did. And slowly, she started crying. I took her out, but she didnt go, so I pout her back, and she started crying, but then stopped. Went to sleep, and it was amazing. Then, she woke up at 3:30, i took her out, then we moved her to moms room. Well, I miss you all, and love you all. Here is another picture of her!

Hey...I'm back!

Hi all y'all freshman people!
I'm back from Minnisota. We had a great trip, although we drove for 24 hours, and we were only there for 36 hours, so that kind of stunk. But we had a nice time, and it's good to be home.

First of all, OH MY GOODNESS JORDAN!!!!! Your puppy is ADORABLE!!!!! Can I like rent her for a week or something? Also, we drove through Wisconsin today on the way back from Minnisota...I begged my parents to make the extra three hours and randomly show up on your front doorstep. But alas, we had a schedule, so I had to settle with waving to you from St. Paul, and hoping you caught the drift.

Joel...I guess by the time you read this you will be back from camp...so I guess, I hope you had a great time! We'll miss you!

It's late, and I've been in the car for almost 12 hours today, so I've got to run...Oh, and Jordan, don't feel squimish about blogging a lot...we LOVE hearing from you...the more, the merrier!

Hope everyone's doing awesome...keep in touch!

camp

going to camp for a week, jay when i get back be ready to hang out...

I know, I know...

Out of the last six posts, including this one, i hate to admit it, but i did five of them. Yeah, go back and check. Either I have HBS [hyper-blogging syndrome] or just no one else blogs.

Well, I just wanted to tell you all "We got our puppy!" She is adorable. She is black with a tiny little white tuft of hair on her chest. Wow. She is amazing. She is about 8 weeks old. But, she cried for awhile last night, getting used to us and her kennel. Well, she is an outside dog, staying inside while we get her potty-trained. She already peed on the floor twice (once on the carpet, once on the linoleum). I had to stay home yesterday, because I worked, while my family went to our old church's anniversary party, and picked up little ________. (As you can see, we aren't sure of a name yet, although my mom suggested Janay). So, I worked, did my devo's and watched Beverly Hillbillies and played solitaire while they were partying (Casey - I didnt let them use my party hats, etc.) and picking up our dog. They got home late-late. About 10 til 1. We played with the dog, then she peed on the carpet, we cleaned it, played, then went to sleep. We ran around this morning, and now she is asleep on the kitchen floor. If you haven't yet figured it out, the picture is of her. Isn't she adorable?!

Okay, well, I am about ready to go to church, hopefully I will talk to you guys soon.

Hohm Health Hearsay

im pretty sure hearsay is gossip, but it started with an "H" and it kind of means news.

Okay, for all of you just dying to know (get it health~dying, haha) about my dad's health? Well you know he got the tumor removed, but then they told him they would need totake a look and possible have to do another surgery to get the rest. that is all old news. he went in, they told him to come back in two days because they had to give him a CT scan. he went in today for the CT scan, got it done, and have to be there early tomorrow morning. they offered them a place to stay, but they had youth group [they being my parents]. so, there is the update.

What? Mar is from Cuba?

We went to an Ojibewa Indian pow wow last night. It was pretty cool. Except it wasnt what i expected. I expected Indians. These people were just dark skinned Westerners. I'm not being racist, but I seriously thought the Indians lived like Indians. Kind of disappointing. Well, they asked for 5 men ages 8-50. Three guys and Chris and me went up there. We did the "fish dance". It was really fun. Have you heard of Chippewa Falls? Yeah, Chippewa is the American version of Ojibewa. So, then the Indian Emcee asked if anyone was out of the country. Some people were from Ferrill Island, some from Sweden, and some from Cuba. When he asked the people where they were from. They yelled from the stand "Sweden" and "Ferrill Island" and "Cuba". He didnt hear the people from Cuba, so Mar yells "CUBA!" We just bust up laughing and are like "Mar, you arent from Cuba!" It was hilarious. Then, after that, right before intermission, everyone was supposed to come dance with the Indians on "Mother Earth". Everyone (my family, Mar, and Deanna) went down there along with a lot of other people. Then, after that, one of the Indians said to my dad, "Tell that girl that I am going to dance with her on the "two-step". He was talking about Mar. He pretty much wanted Mar. Someone asked Chris, and someone asked Deanna. Michael and I had to take pictures. It was cool. Well, thats it. See ya later!

foreign exchange

hey! tonight we pretty much decided we are getting a foreign exchange student it is not for sure, but close....that is so cool, we got three choices and are pretty sure on which one when it is final i might post his bio on my blog...thanx so much darlene for referring the exchange people to us, it is gonna be awesome!

Oh, and one more thing

We live near an Indian reservation. They dance five times each summer. Tonight is one of those times so, my family, Mar, and Deanna are going to see the tribal indian dance!

My school schedule, and some driving experiences.

WOW. Today was pretty cool. So far, at least. Driver's Ed - almost fell asleep. It was boring, but I scheduled a drive, so im good to go.

Then after that, I went to the office of the school and got m schedule set up. Let me explain one thing: each class I name, is a quarter [9 weeks] long. I have four classes every day, and the same four classes for a term [9 weeks, again also known as a quarter]. The classes i name arent "for sure", but this is what i have planned. There are over 180 classes available for high school.

Computer: Interactive Multimedia Sys.
English: 10th English a, b
English: Debate
Foreign Language: Spanish 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b
Technology: I.T. Communications
Mathematics: Algebra 2a, 2b
Physical Education: 10th P.E.
Science: Physical Science
Science: Biology 2
Social Studies: 10th History a, b

Okay, so I will be taking 2 years of spanish my sophomore year. IT Communications is a class i will be using as a prerequisite to CAD Design. OH YEAH! I have PE one quarter this year. I have to take physical science, because i didnt take it at DCS, i just skipped to Bio, and you cant skip physical science. I am also taking DEBATE! It's gonna be fun. And you have your same homeroom teacher all four, or in my case, three yeasr of high school. I have Mr. Linteer, and i hear he is cool.

I was driving today and a deer jumped out in front of me and jumped back into the woods on the opposite side of the road. i was pretty freaked. deer are vicious.

Chris...and stick shifts.

Chris came to my rescue! I work today and I wanted to blog before I went to work. I only work on Saturdays if you are wondering. Anyways, our computer, I try to log on, it flashes my dad's background picture, then it goes to a blue screen, then back to the main login screen. Well, I went and asked Chris if I could use his laptop and he said yes so here I am.

Wow, I hate stick shifts. Have you ever driven one? If you have, I hope you will agree with me, if you haven't, its good experience, but wow. So, yesterday is the second part of phase 1: trying to make the youth room look cooler. It is My dad, Michele (our children's pastor and my old 1st and second grade teacher), the secretaries two kids, and me. So, we are doing our jobs, and Michele says, Jordan would you like to learn how do drive a stick? I was like sure, thinking it cant be too hard. Okay, I get in the car and there are three pedals. And the clutch is on the far left. I'm sure its just me, but i always thought it was on the far right. I don't really remember getting out of the parking space, so i will start with starting it uphill. So, I put the clutch to the floor, and the brake, then turn on the car. Put it in drive (1st gear), then you have to slowly put the gas on and release the clutch very very slowly. If you release the brake, you will roll either forward or backward. If you slam on the gas and not release the clutch, you won't go anywhere, but the RPM meter will shoot up. Not so bad not very good tho either. If you release the clutch but dont give it gas, the car will stall. When i heard stall, i was like okay, its just gonna stop moving. Just the opposite. It lurches back and forth violently like a horse bucking! I am sure it wasnt THAT bad, but for real, thats what it felt like the first time i made it stall. She made me start it going uphill, downhill, and on flat ground. and then i had to park. My legs were shaking afterwards. I am very happy she taught me tho. She is moving today, its very sad. She is moving back to Barron. :(

So, I hope you enjoyed hearing about my day!

See ya later,
Jordan

The good, the bad, and the ugly

The good: I got my permit/temps. Oh yeah! I tubed and swam yesterday. The lakes are so nice. I have made a few friends.

The bad: Michael's snake, Bill, died. Michael held his cage all the way up here. He took care of him, and he still died. He's very sad. B-o-r-i-n-g summer. Missing Decatur and all of you. Like, I miss the concrete cows. I miss driving past Joel's psycho neighbors house and wondering if it was my last day to be alive. I miss my old house so much. I miss hearing Casey when she was ticked at a couple of our teachers. I miss the talks the Famous 5 would have. I miss the technology of Decatur! I miss having other things to do other than movies and swimming, although the lakes are very nice. I hate the performance of my computer. Get this, Seth, Joel, Austin, and Jay - I MISS HALO with you guys!

The ugly: actually Wisconsin is quite beautiful!

Remenicence...remenecience...however you spell that word

Hey guys...I was looking through some pictures today of the going away parties at Joel and MaryKay's houses, as well as a few from graduation. I wish I had the technological mind to put them on here...Joel, you might need to show me how to do that sometime. anyway, they're really cute. Jordan, I sent a couple your way in the mail today...actually like ten. I hope they serve as some sort of small encouragement.
Looking back on all those memories makes me sad, not only because they're good memories, but because they're gone...that's it. No more DCS freshman, at least not the same as it has been last year, and much longer for some of you. That's hard for me to face. But I love the pictures that remindes me of all of you, all my goofy, wacky, cute, friendly, giddy, hair-tie-stealing friends! I miss you all!

something amazing

Today, while i was at buck lake, i was snorkeling, and a thought occurred to me. a snorkel gives us breath while under water. and just like that snorkel gives us breath when we cant normally breathe, God gives us "breath" in the hard times in our lives. So, if you are going through a difficult time, remember God is there, and he is pulling you through.

Jordan

100 years, Phantom, Mean Girls and Aliens coming to earth!!

100 years is a song by Five For Fighting. This is an amazing song, but I wouldnt recommend listening to other songs by them. Chris' girlfriend's sister bought the CD and she said it was pretty dirty. But 100 years, it is so good. I advise you to listen.

The Phantom Of The Opera is a movie I watched with my family and Chris' girlfriend's family. It is a good movie, but l-o-n-g. I was bored during one part and went outside and played football, came back in, and it was great. The music is so good, though. It's classical all the way baby! Its so amazing. Thumbs Up

War Of the Worlds is a movie I watched in the theater with two of my friends. It was very long, but wow, there were some parts that made it worthwhile. It was good, and I give it a thumbs up.

Mean Girls. Ugh. Horrible movie. It was bad in its best parts. Profanity, and some other things I would not like to discuss. There were a few funny parts, but ugh it was NOT GOOD overall. Thumbs way down.

Yeah, towards the end, the thumbs got annoying. But anyways, I thought I would save you the time and money and tell you not to see Mean Girls. It was dumb beyond belief. Well, I start school on September 1. Seth, sorry you start so soon, but hey, you get long breaks.

See ya,

Jordan

WOW TODAY WAS HUGE...

..almost, but not quite behemoth.

Okay, so I woke up at about 7:10 AM. I went to my first day of work! Which sounds weird. But, its a Saturday job, cleaning a resort. $6 an hour. I worked from 8:30am until 4:00pm. So, I earned $45. Not bad. Anyways, we had to strip and change the bedding, clean the windows, sweep, clean the bathrooms, etc. Hard work, but its work. I also applied to two different jobs, a grocery store and McDonalds (not really my first choice, but im almost guaranteed a job there.)

Okay, after that, I get home, dead tired from work. My parents are like we are going to Walmart to get a couple dressers. My brother is like wanna go to buck lake? So, we get ready, go to "Frado's" an Italian restaurant, then went to Walmart, then turned in my Trigs (grocery store) application, then Buck Lake, only to get back home at like 9:30. Wow. Then I showered, and came to this computer. Blogging right now. And in a few minutes, I am watching a movie with my family.

Okay, just wanted to check in. I miss you all alot.

I really want a few of you to come visit for Winter camp, being that Wisconsin is pretty cool in the winter, lol.

Signed,
-Jordan

Hi everyone...
Happy Fourth of July! Hope you all can take some time today, no matter where you live or how you're celebrating, to thank God for our amazing freedom and remember those who have sacrificed themselves for us and our nation.
And make sure you eat lots of food...despite what the books tell you, it's good for you!

Fireworks? What day is it?

So I saw fireworks on the 2nd, I saw them on the 3rd, but not the fourth, or at least none are planned. I think Rhinelander is a little confused.

Have a happy fourth of July, guys!

I'm back...thrilling, huh?

Hey y'all...I'm back! Washington DC and Virginia were great...I enjoyed much swimming, touring, relaxing, card playing, and movie watching. However, I find myself very much relieved to be back here among friends and familiar faces...hope you see some of you soon. (I plan to post a more detailed description of our trip on my blog if you care to look). I hope all of you are doing well. Jordan, I really do plan to send you these group pictures some day or another...sorry! Seth, don't count down for school just yet...it's depressing me! Jay- we'll miss you too...I hope your last few weeks here are full of fun and memories. I pray that the rest of you are holding up well under this change. Well, what else can be said? I guess I'll sign off here. Miss you guys.

Wow, lots of news.

I have a lot, and i mean a lot to blog.

Tonight, I am going to watch the fireworks for Independence Day. Let me guess what you are thinking..."On July 2nd?" Yeah. On the 2nd of July. I really cant understand why the Independence Day Fireworks arent on Independence Day. I am going with some people in the youth group: Hannah Winter, Danielle Gauthier, Brad Spicer, and me. Hopefully that will be fun.

Well, you might remember the sorry condition my glasses were in once Buddy got done with them. Today, I got an eye exam and my first contacts! I had tons of trouble putting them in my eye and even more trouble taking them out of my eye. But, I think itll be worth it.

My parents took our car in to the shop. 3 out of the 4 bearing were shot. We're lucky we're still alive! lol

Chris and his girlfriend went on their first date two nights ago! You might be thinking they moved really fast, us living here for less than a month and all, but they knew each other before. She is really cool, her name is Katelyn Lappin. She's really nice. You should go to Chris' picture website (idea from my man Joel, lol) and see some pics of her.

I am still single :).

Oh, about camp. Chris and I are going to camp, yeah! But - my mom and Chris are like, "no you cant go to Decatur, its too long of a drive, and Elijah and Darin are coming right after camp. and even if you ride back with Decatur to Decatur you dont have a ride back to Rhinelander." Yeah, yeah I see their point, but i really wanted to visit Decatur.

Rhinelander is huge about winter right? Yeah. If your free :) I would love for you to come to our winter camp! It is amazing, I have been here when I lived in Barron. And, of course I'll be visiting. I really cant wait until I see you all again.

Well, that is it for now. I love you all and miss you, and please please come visit. Most of Chris' friends are visiting, so I feel kind of lonely without my friends :). But - Darlene is coming! Thats awesome, and if you could come, it'd be even sweeter.

Love,
Jordan
