Feeling Empty?
Going along the same notes as Darlene and Joel, I was reading through the book of Amos last night and came across a verse that reminded me of this situation:
"I gave you empty stomachs in every city and lack of bread in every town, yet you have not returned to me," declares the Lord.
Amos 4:6
God often deliberately puts us through hardships in order to sort of indirectly bring us back to him. How many of you are feeling empty right now? How many feel as though their life is lacking something...don't be one of the ones who refuses to return to God...take protection in his presence, and get ready to be filled, or as Amos 4:12-13 says,
"...prepare to meet your God, O Israel. He who forms the mountains, creates the wind, and reveals his thoughts to man, he who turns dawn into darkness, and treads the high places of the earth- the Lord God Almighty is his name.
