a few things that cracked me up.
Today, my mom, Michael, and I went to Wildwood Wildlife Center in Minoqua. It was really cool. There were some really amazing animals. We saw two albino hedghogs, three albino deer, one half-albino, half-regular deer, and one albino wallaby, and tons of other animals. Well, we went into the deer farm place where deer run around free [tame], and one in front of me started to pee. I looked at Michael and started laughing, and acted like I took a picture of the deer. I didn't though. This lady was like "You have a sick mind!" And I said, "I was kidding! I didn't even take the picture!" She just turned around and ignored me. So, Michael and I started laughing and walked away. I should have been like, "Get off me."
Then, tonight, we were at Michael's game [they won]. And this guy was standing behind me, and kept saying, "That was a beautiful ______." Fill in the blank with kick, shot, whatever. I was about to stand up on my chair and say, "ENOUGH!" But I didnt. And this lady said about Michael's team, "They are so good! They are like 42-year old midgets!" And I just started laughing. You should have seen me. Oh, man.
Well, I gotta get. Talk to you soon and keep blogging!

...things unexpected...
I am going to set the scene for you:
Its 10:30 p.m. We are watching Secondhand Lions. The mom just asks her son, "Where is the money, Walter? Your uncles stole it, you know."
My dad walks in, we pause the movie, he says, "I have to go to Marshfield because my chest is filling up with fluid." So we quickly get the stuff we need, feed Maddie for the morning, although she wakes up and eats it then, and file into the car, and we are off. I played Freecell for a while, can't win a thing. I really am bad at Freecell. Okay, anyways. We get to Marshfield a little after midnight. My dad talks to this lady, the doctor walks in, my dad leaves with the doctor. I read a magazine - People. My brother sits there, my mom sleeps. At around 2, my dad and the doctor come out and the doctor talks to my mom, gives her two slips of paper for more medicine. My mom and dad talk about what we are going to do for the night. My dad wants a hotel, and my mom just wants to save money and sleep in the car. After all, it was 2 am. And we would be paying for a hotel for about 6-7 hours. So, Michael and I walk around the hospital, go to the ground floor, find that the cafeteria opens at 2 am! For breakfast. Seriously, who eats breakfast at 2? Anyways, I am way to tired to eat, but my brother is hungry. We go back up the elevator, and a nurse had suggested we sleep in the waiting room, she will dim the lights for us. So thats what we do. Michael and I watch the Disney channel, and my parents went to bed. I mean recliner, we slept in recliners. I went to recliner after a little while, and my brother went to sleep after me. My mom woke us up at about 5.30. We left and got home at about 7:20. I slept the ENTIRE way home. When we got home, I went to sleep until about 11:10.
So, that's the little news I have here in Rhinelander. Oh, by the way, my father is fine, and he is on 4 medicines. Vikadin (sp), Aleve, and two others.
I just asked my mom how to spell Vikadin and she asked if anyone cared about my news. I'm hurt. lol.
Sorry to bore most of you with the news, but I am sure my real friends care. Just kidding!
Talk to you soon.

steve
my dad's starting to have painful muscle spasms in his back, we arent sure if its normal or not, so if you could just pray, i know i have already asked for so much prayer, but if you remember, please pray for my dad, me [school, etc.], my mom [stress], chris [college], and michael [school]. I would appreciate it so much!
So, most of you start tomorrow? and seth already started. I start the first, and go through around June 3. A little later starting, a little later ending.
Well, I gotta go! See ya later! I miss you.
Jordan
All of you that have dogs know that they are amazing. I just figured it out. Maddie helps with the move. I have made a few friends though. So that is good.

College
Well, Chris goes to college tomorrow. That is going to be a huge change. I am going to miss him so much! He is going to Northwestern College. I feel like I am ready for college!
I am not excited about school at all. This whole public school thing is really bugging me and scaring me. I know, it might not be a big deal to most of you. But, i am definitely going to miss the Christian environment, chapel, Bible discussions, knowing everyone because there are less than 100 people in your high school. And I will miss you. But, I am determined to make a few good friends.
Thank you all for praying! I love you.

Lyrics
This song is so cool! It is by Rascal Flatts, its called Skin.
Sarah Beth is scared to death
To hear what the doctor will say
She hasn't been well
Since the day that she fell
And the bruise, it just won't go away
So she sits and she waits with her mother and dad
Flips through an old magazine
Till the nurse with a smile
Stands at the door
And says will you please come with me
Sarah Beth is scared to death
Cause the doctor just told her the news
Between the red cells and white
Something's not right
But we're gonna take care of you
Six chances in ten it won't come back again
With the therapy were gonna try
It's just been approved
It's the strongest there is
I think we caught it in time
Sarah Beth closes her eyes
And she dreams she's dancing
Around and around without any cares
And her very first love is holding her close
And the soft wind is blowing her hair
Sarah Beth is scared to death
As she sits holding her mom
Cause it would be a mistake
For someone to take
A girl with no hair to the prom
For, just this morning right there on her pillow
Was the cruelest of any surprise
And she cried when she gathered it all in her hands
The proof that she couldn't deny
Sarah Beth closes her eyes
And she dreams she's dancing
Around and around without any cares
And her very first love was holding her close
And the soft wind is blowing her hair
Its quarter to seven
That boy's at the door
And her daddy ushers him in
And when he takes off his cap
They all start to cry
Cause this mornin where his hair had been
Softly she touches just skin
And they go dancin
Around and around without any cares
And her very first true love is holding her close
And for a moment she isn't scared
Sarah Beth is scared to death
To hear what the doctor will say

Thank God
Okay, I am going to try to match up to Casey's level of interesting. Just kidding!
I am going to go over yesterday, it was a huge day.
Well, I woke up at 5:20. A.M.! We had to be at the hospital at 6. We got there a little before. Then, after a while, my dad went back there. They started the surgery at about 7:25. At about 10:45 or so, the doctor came out and said the first part went well, they took part of three ribs, and part of the sternum. The first doctor's part was done. The second doctor put a material that they use in tents and space suits in the hole to keep everything intact, then they cut a chunk of muscle or whatever, flipped it up, and fit it in the hole where the ribs/sternum was removed. They discarded a little of the muscle. He went into recovery at 1:45. We could finally see him at about 4:30. We saw him, he was so drowsy. We gave him a code word because my pastor said he wouldn't rememeber anything. We [Chris, Michael, and I] went to the hotel, swam and stuff, ate, then went back at 7:45 to pick up my mom. We got there, talked to him, asked him if he remembered the code word. He remembered there was a code word, but couldn't remember it. The rest of my day [all two hours of it] was pretty boring. I went to bed at 10pm. In case you didn't do the math, we were at the hospital about 10 and a half hours, we were gone for one hour for a Wal-Mart run.
Well, that probably wasn't interesting enough, but I hope you didn't fall asleep while reading! lol
Thank you all for praying for my dad! It helped a LOT.
Jordan
P.S. - All the Wal-Marts here [Wisconsin] are changing from the Snack Bar thing to a Subway inside. Is that happening in the Decatur one? I'm just curious. I miss you all! Can't wait to see you sometime.

Marching band's a no-go
OK, so I tried on my new marching band uniform today...let me just say that I completely renig on any invitations I may have extended to you about coming to see a game. Going from the bottom up, I look about like so:
I have guy-looking black shoes, which are mostly covered by way-too-big, black, sleek, snow pants-looking pants that make me look MASSIVE! On top of that, I have an also-too-big jacket that's blue and black, and that hangs over my shoulders about two inches on each side. Then I have this really amazing hat, and I have to wear a fountain ponytail that sticks inside this little hole on the inside of the hat. As if that weren't good enough, I have this $20 plume/feather thing that sticks out the top of the helmet...all in all a pretty attractive outfit...help me!
So, no coming to my games...I'll get a personal recording of the music made for each of you, as long as you don't have to see me in person!
PS: there aren't very many interesting or frequent entries on this thing...keep it going, guys. Seth, we haven't heard from you in a while. How are things? By the way, I have your "Seth/Rambie" drawing hanging on my door...saw it tonight when I was feeling blue, and it cheered me up substantially! Jordan, how are things in good old Wisconsin? All the rest of you, KEEP POSTING!!!

wow.
Hey all! I just woke up about an hour ago from our lockin at our church. I had fun! I talked to these girls Meredith, Briana, Laura, and Stephanie a lot. And David, Nathan, Chris and Michael. It was awesome. I just wish Joel and Darlene could have stayed for it.
I am officially subscribed to three podcasts. Ebert and Roeper (sp), Homeschool something, and Joel's. Joel chose all three. Which is fine, they are pretty cool.
I miss you and want to see you SOON!!!!
Well, I'm gonna go play and give attention to my puppy. After all, I haven't had a chance today, I just woke up!

sad day.
The visitors are leaving today....:(. I'm gonna miss them so much. Come, visit, please. If you are my friend and you know who you are, please visit. I would be so happy. It was really fun with Joel and Darlene!
Tonight my church is having a lockin. My first lockin out of Decatur. But there is a first time for everything...It will hopefully be fun.
At 2:30 today, I am driving for the first time with my instructor. I'm kind of scared. Weak. My stomach is rolling (lol).
Okay, well ill blog later.

So much
I got back from American Idol today! So we left at 10:45. Once we got to Hudson, which is 15 minutes from the cities, we stopped at about 5 hotels, all booked, except for one which had two rooms - one for $139 and one for $109. We didnt want to spend that much, so we figured the cities will have something, so one the way to the cities, we stopped at a few more - all booked. we got in the cities - they were booked. It was then about 4:30. We got to the XCEL Energy Center - and parked in the parking ramp, then went in, went to the bathroom, found where we would enter, then my mom got her clothes and changed and I put my contacts in. For some reason, they just wouldnt go in forever, and my eyes stung soooooo bad afterwards. At about 5:15, we headed down to the gate where we would enter, we were the second ones for our gate, there were about five gates in the whole "Gate One". Doors open at 6. We got in there, bought a program, got our picture taken, then got some supper, got in there, waited, then it began. Jessica Sierra sang first - she was great. Anwar was boring (sadly) (I really liked him). Then Constantine - GROSS needs a shower. Then Nikko, who was my personal favorite, and Joel would LOVE Nikko - he can dance and sing he is amazing! Then it was Scott, nice vocals. Then Nadia - she did really good. She rocked and sounded good. Intermission! Then we come back with Anwar singing and playing - good, then Vonzell came in and sang her songs. Vonzell was full of energy - she is my second favorite. Anthony - BORING AS EVER. Then Bo, and even though he had a broken foot, he ROCKED. he sang Desperado, Sweet Home Alabama, some other ones. The Carrie! She is so awesome. She has a HUGE voice. She sang a few songs including Sin Wagon (stupid), Independence Day, Alone, and a few others. On her last one, which is Inside Your Heaven, the other nine came out and sang with her. Then they waved, the lights went out and people left. Then Bo and Carrie came out and sang "God Blessed The Broken Road" while kind of playing their guitars. All ten came out, two at a time, and sang "Lean on Me". Then they all sang "Rockin In The USA". It was GREAT! It was crazy, there were thousands of people WAY MORE INTO American Idol than my mom and me. WAY MORE INTO IT. There were about 12,000 people there - sold out, I heard. It was great - and I knew most of the songs. I gotta go, its been great telling you about this, hope you read it all, lol.

Weird De-jah-vou (OK, no idea how to spell that, just trying to sound it out the best I can!)
He guys...and girls I suppose...
I'm back from 10 days in Florida...holy cow, beautiful, beautiful, and beautiful...and salty. We had a great time. It was a family reunion, and I saw my dad's brother and his family, whom I haven't seen in over 9 years. It was spectacular, but I'm glad to be home.
We drove all the way down there, about 17 hours of driving both ways. On the way down, we stopped in this gas station, and I was walking around, and caught a glimpse and a smell of an old musty storage room in the back of the building. For some really odd reason it reminded me of the old Lincoln theatur, and strangely brought back floods of memories that I love:
I remember Seth and his piece of "memory cardboard", me always mooching off of Hanah's sack lunches, Joel and I trying to build that ridiculous set with four boards that were all different sizes and only 1" nails, watching Jordan, fully decked out in Tin man clothes, his face painted silver, holding up his axe in the middle of the stage (!!!), sitting for hours with Andrew stapling corn which just found the trash can, about 1,000 sandwiches from Jimmy John's, the painful task of getting Seth to keep his mouth still long enough to coat it with magenta lip stick. I miss it. I miss it tons, and I'll never forget all the memories we had there.
I start marching band camp at MacArthur on Monday...a sure sign that school's on the horizon. Ratz. I miss you guys, and hope you're all doing OK.
Love.

wow
This Saturday, it will be two months since we moved. August 6. I still miss you guys terribly. Elijah and Darin left this morning. I love it when people visit because its like they bring a piece of Decatur - and I miss Decatur. I miss the people way more, but get this - I MISS THE CITY OF DECATUR. I miss driving around, I know I sound like an idiot, so I'll stop.
I'm listening to the new Relient K. Dude, check them out. "mmhmm" is the best CD so far of theirs. It's their 6th album. One of my favorite songs is called "High Of 75"
Guys, I miss you and love you, and really want to see you. Darlene - SUNDAY NIGHT. I cant wait.

shoot.
Church last night was good. We read Judges 13 and Acts 2. We discussed them, and then talked about how our weeks went, mine obviously went well (camp).
Yesterday, my brother was on this thing about shooting things with a bb gun. mostly trying to hit birds. Then, he hit one. It dropped, and he shot it again. IT WAS A WOODPECKER. He feels bad now that he actually killed one.
Darin and Elijah are here right now, thats a ton of fun. They are hilarious. I cannot wait until Darlene comes in a few days! We are going to have so much fun. I'm still trying to see about a trip down there to visit you all, its soon, but not soon enough. Love you all and miss you all. I'm out.
